Last month, Xiaomi pushed first OTA update to Xiaomi Watch with various optimisations and bug fixes. The key highlight of this update was iOS support for Mi Watch. The company launched a new Xiaomi Wear app for the iOS operating system to make it compatible with the iOS operating system. Now the company plans to push the second OTA on January 17 until January 22 to Xiaomi Watch users.
The company took to its official handle to make this announcement. Some of the key highlights pointed by the company are the addition of new features. These features include body energy and pressure monitoring functions. Furthermore, the message notification will also be optimized to be bright and automatically content displayed. For example, if you have received a new message, the screen will be automatically turned on to display the content.
Speaking to the core specifications, Xiaomi Mi Watch brings 1.78-inch AMOLED display with a four-curved glass mirror surface, and floating screen design to offer a full-screen experience. It utilizes the world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100 4G version, which is also the flagship processor of wearable devices. Considering the connectivity options, it offers eSIM support, Bluetooth 5.0 support, multi-function NFC and GPS for location tracking.
The device runs on Mi Wear OS; that is a custom MIUI skin. It supports 40+ Apps for different functionality. As far as pricing is concerned, its price starts from 1,299 CNY, which goes up to 1,999 CNY for more premium version.
