With the launch of 5G connectivity, smartphone manufacturer started employing the latest technology in their phones. Samsung was the only supplier to provide many options in this category. In the year 2019, the company has launched four 5G smartphones including Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, Note10 / Note10+ 5G, Galaxy A90 5G and Galaxy Fold 5G.
The company today announces that it has shipped 6.7 million 5G phones around the globe. Which is a 54% market share of global 5G smartphone industry, the comany added further. Samsung made its debut in May with Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. And by the end of September, it had shipped 2 million phones. At the same time, the company targeted to sell 4 million 5G phones by the end of this year. Hence, the response the company has got is overwhelming beyond the company’s expectation. As you might be aware, 5G technology is way faster than the current 4G network. It can go up to 100x faster than 4G, and the latency is even faster than what WiFi offers.
Talking about future plans, Samsung further reveals that Samsung Galaxy T6 is on the way to make its debut in Korea by Q1 2020. And it will be the first tablet to adopt 5G technology. There is no doubt Samsung is the current market leader with more the half market share. But 2020 would be the tough year as many other competitors are planning to launch some affordable 5G smartphones. Even Xiaomi and Oppo have already launch Snapdragon 765G based 5G phones less than half price what Samsung’s current flagship phones charging.

Besides, Samsung is all set likely to launch even more 5G phones in 2020. The official publication appends, “Samsung will continue to lead the market in 5G innovation by introducing new advancements that will improve the speed, performance and security of Galaxy 5G devices even further.” Assuredly, more people will engage with the 5G technology to watch High-Quality content on TVs, playing online games and other stuff which requires faster internet speeds.
