Vivo Z5 with Snapdragon 712 SoC, 4500 mAh battery, 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display goes official

Vivo today announced a new smartphone named Vivo Z5 as it was promised. Basically, it is an upgraded version of recently launched Vivo Z5x with batter camera, processor and waterdrop display instead punch-hole found on Z5x. Looking at the front appearance, it is very clean and full display design with minimal side bezels.

Vivo Z5 Specifications

Speaking to the specs, Vivo Z5 features a 6.38-inch 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ Super AMOLED display on the top. It is powered by the latest Qualcomm snapdragon 712 SoC paired with Adreno 616 GPU to manage the graphics-intensive tasks. As for optics, it has a vertically placed triple rear 48MP + 8MP (wide) + 2MP (depth) camera and a single 32MP front-facing shooter for selfies.

The handset packs a 4,500 mAh non-removable battery with 22.5W fast charging support. As far as storage is concerned, it comes with multiple variants with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device measurements are 159.56 x 75.25 x 8.13 mm and weighs 187 grams. Moreover, it includes all the necessary connectivity features. Further, the device runs on Android 9 pie based on the company’s own custom Fountouch 9.1 UI. As a security feature, it has embedded an in-display fingerprint sensor and facial recognition technology.

Vivo Z5 Pricing and Availability

The Vivo Z5 comes in three Aurora Illusion, Holographic Illusion and Bamboo Forest Night color options. It is priced at CNY 1598 for the base 6GB/64GB variant, 1898 CNY for 6GB/128GB, 1998 for 6GB/256GB and higher 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs 2298 CNY. As for availability, the company didn’t reveal any exact date, but it will soon be available for sale in China. The global launch of this device is not yet confirmed.
