Samsung finally confirms the launch date of the next Galaxy “S” series. According to the company’s official tweet, the launch will take place on February 11, while the location isn’t revealed. If the company follows the usual pattern, it will be held in Newyork, USA. However, there is no confirmation regarding the naming scheme, but the rumour mill suggesting it as S20 series. Last year, there were three smartphones dubbed as Samsung Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+.

We can expect three phones this year as well, but the naming could be different. Account to famous tipster Ice Universe, Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ are almost confirmed, but the third smartphone could be S20 Ultra or something else. And asked to suggest an appropriate name. The time will only tell what Samsung actually thinks, these are only speculations.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Series Expected Specifications
Speaking of the specs, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is likely to have a 6.9-inch curved screen, 2K + resolution and a 20: 9 screen ratio. It will also support a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor and X55 modem, having 5000mAh battery, 12GB LPDDR5 memory, 256GB / 512GB / 1TB storage capacity, and USF3.0 flash memory technology. The current specs database is based on leaks and rumours. The battery pack will get 5000 mAh non-removable battery with obvious fast charging support.
As for optics, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is speculated to have quad-camera setup on the back. The primary one is a customised 108MP, 1 / 1.33-inch sensor with new 9-1 Bayer technology instead 4-in-1 seen in the current-generation 108MP sensor. Hence, don’t be confused with the standard ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor; it is entirely new with several customisations. Moreover, the primary lens includes a periscope unit at the bottom left which supports 5x optical zoom. It is likely to have an ultra-wide sensor at the top of the left side. Finally, the ToF sensor is assumed on the right-hand side and an LED flashlight is given underneath. Besides, we have yet to know the specs of remaining smartphones in S20 series.
