Xiaomi has recently announced two new Redmi smartphones – Redmi K20 and K20 Pro. Now the “Pro” variant has started getting a stable update in China. A screenshot shared by a uses shows its version number MIUI V10.3.8.0.PFKCNXM and the update size seems to be around 2.4GB.
The most interesting feature of this update is the Face Unlocking. When the device was introduced, it was lacking that feature, but now finally the Xiaomi added. Although, it isn’t the most secure method, but offers you an additional way to unlock your device more conventionally. Apart from the face unlock, the update focuses on WiFi optimization and its signal strength followed by some other minor tweaks.
The Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro was announced with 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage, triple rear cameras, a motorized pop-up selfie shooter, 4,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4+ support and MIUI 10 based Android Pie out of the box.
When it comes to pricing and availability, the device is currently being sold in China. The base 6GB+64GB variant costs 2499 yuan, 6GB+128GB is priced at 2599 yuan, which goes up to 2,799 Yuan for 8GB+128GB followed by 8GB+256GB version pricing 2,999 yuan.
