After the Snapdragon 855 Plus went official, many companies were interested to adopt the new platform being Xiaomi one of them. Today, the company has officially confirmed the arrival of Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro, that might be using the power of newly announced Snapdragon 855 Plus. A poster published by the company shows that the new device will be announced on July 30 in China.
It will worth noting that company’s Shark series mainly focuses on gaming smartphones. However, Xiaomi didn’t disclose any of the information regarding this device, but it is presumed to borrow most of its specifications from original Black Shark 2 except overclocked CPU and more powerful GPU to provide flawless gaming experience.
Lately, a device with model number DLT-A0 passes through 3C certification site, that is speculated to be the Black Shark 2 Pro. The certification site also disclosed its power adapter model number as MDY-10-EH, that is a 27W fast charger same used by the Xiaomi Mi 9.

The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 features a 6.39-inch 1080 x 2340 pixels Ful HD+ AMOLED display. The device is crafted with an Aluminum body with a sturdy design. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 640 GPU. As for cameras, the handset flaunts a dual 48MP + 12MP rear camera, while, a single 20MP selfie shooter.
The Black Shark 2 smartphone runs on the Android 9 Pie out of the box. It comes in various storage options up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. It packs a 4,000 mAh non-removable battery with 27W fast charging support. Overall, the device is customized to enhance the gaming experience, which the company wants to take it on the next level with the launch of Shark 2 Pro.
