Samsung W20 5G banner leaked, likely to support 512GB internal storage

Samsung owns a premium flip phone line-up in its portfolio under “W” series. Every year, the company launches a successor and seems to follow the same pattern this year either. An exhibition banner spotted by a well know tipster Ice Universe shows that the company is working on a new smartphone called “W20 5G”. Obviously, the name suggests 5G support for this device.

Recently, folks at Samemobile claimed that the next generation W series smartphone will have 512GB storage option, which is as much as twice compared to W2019. Usually, the company follow the same Galaxy S series trend for the W series smartphones under a more compact body and flip design. We won’t be surprised if it borrows some specs from Galaxy S10 series. Needless to say, the series is limited to China and South Korea. So, chances are high again these restrictions will be applied to W20 smartphone.

To recall, Samsung W2019 was announced last year in November month. It features 4.2-inch 1080 x 1920 pixels Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. It offers dual 12MP + 12MP rear and a single 8MP front-facing camera. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the back and packs 3,070 mAh battery. For storage, it has 128GB / 256GB storage variants paired with 6GB RAM.

As far as price is concerned, the company charges a very premium price for this series. Last year, Samsung W2019 was launched for 8,999 Yuan for the base variant. Definitely, the price doesn’t suggest a value for money pick, but the Samsung present as a luxury item with limited availability. What are your thoughts? Do let’s in below comments section!
