Games to Add to your Wishlist

We’re over halfway through 2022, and it’s time to round up the best gaming releases we’ve seen so far. While there’s still plenty more to come on console, PC and mobile as we head into autumn, add the following games to your wishlist today and start enjoying some quality entertainment.

New Releases

Stray – PlayStation

Blue Twelve Studio’s gorgeous adventure game is a must for any cat lovers out there. You don’t just control the cat during the game; you become the cat. The aim is to navigate your way around a post-apocalyptic city, solving environmental puzzles and generally being a cat while doing so.

Cult of the Lamb – Xbox

Action roguelike games have been increasing in popularity in recent years, and Cult of the Lamb is our pick for 2022. Half of the game is spent care-taking your very own cult of anthropomorphic beings, while the action picks up in the second half as you get to fight, plunder and scavenge your way through the gameplay.

Neon White – PC

Behold, the return of leaderboard gaming! Neon White is a gorgeous, anime-inspired game that is part speed-runner, part puzzler. In levels ranging from 30 seconds to 2 minutes, you’ll need to blitz through challenges like demon-hunting as each millisecond ticks away.

Among Us – Mobile

Impressing everyone from your local geek to congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Among Us is the hit mobile game of the year. Set in space – bonus points already – this one is a fascinating mix of engaging gameplay and social deception. Who are the imposters among us? Download it today to find out.

Classics to Revisit

One of the best things about revisiting classic games here in 2022 is that, in some cases, they’re free to play! Here are a few to check out:

World Series of Poker – Mobile

iGaming fans are often spoilt for choice, but one of the best free games in 2022 for aspiring poker players is the WSOP social poker gaming app. It’s the official gaming app of this renowned global poker tournament, and downloading it will give you instant access to 24/7 games where you can even compete for your very own WSOP bracelet.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – PC

Regarded as the first “proper” game in the Counter-Strike series, Global Offensive is a much-beloved PC game. For years it was priced at a reasonable $14.99, but now you can play it free on Valve’s Steam.

One of the reasons why CS: GO has endured for so long is because it’s the perfect amount of engaging gameplay and competitive challenge. With the full range of maps to explore and that all-important combat action, CS: GO is a classic to return to time and time again.

Brawlhalla – Console

What with both Sony and Microsoft launching cloud gaming services this year, you may be wondering whether it’s worth revising free-to-play games on console. Brawlhalla’s here to answer your ponderings with a firm ‘yes’. This streamlined fighting/platformer cross-over will appeal to casual and hardcore gamers. Plus, the free version gives you access to a generous total of six different characters to play.
