Update 11 / 26 / 2019 – ColorOS launched in India with a full global release date for Oppo and Realme phones

Update 11 / 20 / 2019 – ColorOS 7 officially launched in China with a complete schedule of the update release. It comes with several new features, including revamped UI, RAM optimisations, Portrait Mode 2.0, Breeno voice assistance, and many more optimisations.

Oppo has recently launched ColorOS 7, an upcoming custom skin from the company. Most of the current Oppo / Realme smartphones are running on ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie. After the Android 10 arrived, discussions have been started when the company will upgrade the current OS. Finally, the company has officially announced the ColorOS 7 for the domestic Chinese market and global markets, either.

ColorOS 7 Features

The icon pack supports custom shape size and add a new Art+ artist wallpaper to bring a higher quality desktop experience.

The sound effect cooperated with the well-known Danish sound company to systematically design the sound of the simple human language, to simulate the sound of the real physical world. It adds the new sound effects of OPPO Relax, immersive, and soothing emotions.

It supports intelligent cloud compilation, with smarter RAM optimisation and dynamic scheduling of the oSense process. The new RAM improvements claim to reduce application startup time by 40% with a system resource efficiency of 30%. Moreover, the game frame rate has been enhanced with faster touch response.

Now, ColorOS 7 has an enhanced smart Breeno voice assistant, which can accurately push messages according to the pace of life. It further provides Breeno driving mode, Breeno sleep mode, Breeno automatic command, and so on. In terms of camera, ColorOS 7 also has a portrait mode 2.0, a night mode, and a super focus mode with a gyroscope algorithm. It can also be a one-click Soloop video editor, a new gallery interaction recording, editing, and sharing to give you simple convenient & creative experience. Overall, ColorOS 7 offers an entirely superior user experience.

ColorOS 7 update release date in China

Oppo has finally released an official list of smartphones getting ColorOS 7 updates in China. The chart shows us that the Reno series is first the get the latest upgrade in China. The release date is expected to start on November 25. The Reno 2 will get it by the end of this year. Various Oppo devices will get ColorOS 7 in Q1, 2020, including Reno 2z, Reno Z, Oppo R17, R17 Pro, Oppo Find X, Oppo K5, and many more. The final list from the Oppo will be covered in Q2, 2029, where some other mid-range Oppo devices will be getting the ColorOS 7 update in China.

Afterwards, Realme devices will be taken into consideration. The Realme X and Realme X Youth Edition will get ColorOS 7 update in February 2020, Realme Q will get it by March 2020, and Finally, Realme X and X2 Pro will receive by April 2020. It will worth noting that the current roadmap applies only in the Chinese market. The company is holding an event for November 26 in India, where it would be most probably going to see its global launch.

ColorOS 7 release date for Oppo, Realme Phones (Global)

Oppo has finally announced the global version of ColorOS 7 at the New Delhi event in India. While launching the upgraded version, the company has pointed out that there are 300 million ColorOS users around the globe sitting in 140 countries. It delivers support for 80 different languages worldwide.

As we have mentioned, the new ColorOS custom skin arrives with a lighter user interface, faster apps speed, plenty of new cameras features softer colors and an entirely new user interface with customizable icons. Borrowing from Android 10, ColorOS 7 brings system-based dark mode and enhanced security features. The improved RAM management let it offer a smooth experience and touch response reach to the next level. All all all, the ColorOS significantly advanced the user interface on the system level.

Speaking to the global launch date, the company has already started pouring the ColorOS 7 development edition to Oppo Reno 2 and Reno 10X Zoom for global Oppo devices. Oppo Reno 2, F11, and F11 Pro are scheduled to get ColorOS 7 by the end of this year. Oppo Reno 2Z, Reno 2F, Reno Z, Find X (all editions), R17, R17 Pro, RX17, and A9 will receive the next major upgrade in Q1, 2020. Some other remaining devices such as Oppo R15, R15 Pro, K3, F7, F9, F9 Pro, A9 2020, and A5 2020 will get the ColorOS 7 in Q2, 2020.

ColorOS 7 Realme

On the other hand, Realme has already confirmed the full schedule for the Android 10 OS upgrade. The Realme UI, a custom user interface for Realme phones, uses ColorOS 7 features as well as some additional changes for Realme device holders. Based on the official data provided by the company, Realme 3 Pro, Realme 5 Pro, Realme X, and XT will get the Android 10 update in Q1, 2020. Realme 3, Realme 5, and Realme 3i will follow in Q2, 2020. The Realme 2 Pro will get in June 2020, followed by Realme C2 in Q3 in the same year. The first beta will arrive at Realme X2 Pro on December 18, while, the Realme XT devices can enroll for beta recruitment on December 9.

      there is no official confirmation yet, but Oppo A9 is likely to get the ColorOS 7 update. We will be updating this article on November 20 once the company officially announced the ColorOS 7 UI.
