Manufacturing Process & CPU
The power efficiency is a bit better in the Snapdragon 662 and 665 as they are built over the 11nm fabrication. The Helio G70, on the other hand, has the 12nm fabrication. On-paper the 11nm fabrication is looking to be a bit more promising than the 12nm in terms of power efficiency. However, the 14nm fabrication the Snapdragon 660 stands nowhere in this comparison as this is a very much outdated fabrication now.
Coming to the CPU, all the four SoCs have 64-bit memory architecture with an Octa-Core design. The Snapdragon 662 and 665 have exactly the same CPU configuration. There are four Kryo260 Gold Cortex-A73 cores at 2.0GHz and four Kryo260 Silver Cortex-A53 cores at 1.8GHz. The Snapdragon 660 also has the same Kryo260 cores’ configuration but the clock speed of Gold cores is 2.2GHz and of the Silver cores is 1.8GHz.
The story of Helio G70 is a bit better as there are two Cortex-A75 performance cores at 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A53 efficiency cores at 1.7GHz. The use of Cortex-A75 cores is a big improvement over the Cortex-A73 and hence MediaTek Helio G70 has a slight edge in CPU performance. The Snapdragon 665 and 662, both because of improved fabrication, are capable of performing a bit better than Snapdragon 660.
GPU & Gaming
The Snapdragon 662 and 665, are exactly the same and utilizes the same Qualcomm Adreno 610 GPU. However the Snapdragon 660, because of being an old processor, comes with Adreno 512. Now the Adreno 5 series is noway can match the Adreno 6 series. So there is a quite big advancement in GPU performance.
The MediaTek Helio G70 uses the Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU with 825MHz clock speed. It is a dual-core GPU which has also been used in the Kirin 810. Helio G70 has the best GPU performance here and can easily outperform the Snapdragon 662 and 665 easily. Whereas the Snapdragon 660 has the least performing GPU.

AnTuTu-Geekbench Scores
Currently, the Snapdragon 662 and MediaTek Helio G70 are very new in the market and there are no smartphones available with these SoC and hence we don’t have any kind of benchmarks of these SoCs. But we will be updating the comparison as soon as any of the processors hit the internet with any type of benchmark. Below, we have provided the AnTuTu and Geekbench Scores of Snapdragon 660 and 665 as of now.
AnTuTu Scores
The Snapdragon 660 has a score of 1,33,324 points whereas the Snapdragon 665 has 1,39,495 points. Obviously there is not a huge difference but the Snapdragon 665 is in the lead. As we mentioned, remaining two Snapdragon 662 and Helio G70 Antutu scores are not yet updated as they are new to the list.
Geekbench Scores
Talking about the Single-Core scores then the Snapdragon 660 and 665 has got a scoring of 1,616 and 1,537 respectively. And the Multi-Core scores for the same are 5731 and 5707 respectively. Although there is a very minute difference, it is pretty surprising that the Snapdragon 660 is leading the Geekbenhc benchmarks. Similar to Antutu, Snapdragon 662 and Helio G70 Geekbench scores will be available later. We will be updating the list as soon as we get the further call.
Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
The Snapdragon 660 has the company’s Hexagon 660 DSP which is an extremely basic DSP and comes with Qualcomm All-Ways Aware technology. There is no support for other AI features like Vector eXtensions (HVX), and Neural Processing SDK. These features, however, are available in the Hexagon 683 and 686 DSPs found in the SD 662 and 665. Here the Snapdragon 665 has better DSP than both Snapdragon 662 and 660. But the performance gap between the Snapdragon 662 and 665 is very less as compared to the gap between Snapdragon 660 and 665.
Talking about the MediaTek Helio G70, then this processor doesn’t have any specific named DSP but the company calls it the fast AI-Performance. The company claims that this is capable of all the basic AI photography tasks. It is combined with the MediaTek NeuroPilot and third-party AI development APIs are also supported. Here, the Snapdragon and Helio G70 are almost similar in AI with Snapdragon 662 right below them. The Snapdragon 660 is very far away from all the other processors.
